October 16: Grand Opening Ceremony: state dignitaries and educators, including Governor Rell, dedicate a new science and technology training center for Connecticut. New NVCC alma mater by Richard Gard to be premiered. 11:00 am at NVCC in Waterbury

November 16: The College Choir with Waterbury Symphony Orchestra present Bach Cantata 191 “Gloria in excelsis” and Handel Messiah part I and Corelli Concerto Grosso “Christmas” at NVCC. Includes pre-concert lecture by Richard
November 21: NVCC Opera Ensemble perform Jaques Brel is Alive and Living in Paris in the Playbox Theater

Godspell -- SOLD OUT April 24 and 25 at 8:00 pm: STM Golden Center at Yale 25th Anniversary celebrating the founding of the soup kitchen. This show raised over $3,000 for the STM soup kitchen.

May 30: Trills and Thrills, Connecticut and New York state high school band, choir, and show choir adjudication at Kennedy High School, Waterbury

 

April 25: Connecticut Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association presents the annual Chamber Choir Festival.  First Church, Middletown.

  

May 6:  Musical Innovators - Wind Ensemble of Western Connecticut on the NVCC Mainstage.

 

April 11:  Tehillim! with Leonard Bernstein's exciting Chichester Psalms - Bruckner Choir & NVCC College Choir, Temple B'nai Israel, Southbury.  This concert will include the premier of a stunning new work Light upon the earth by Stephen Feigenbaum, a Yale student who is rapidly gaining attention for his compositions. 

 

April 12:  Songs for Soup - show to benefit the St Thomas More Soup Kitchen and other social justice programs at Yale University.  The show will feature a medley of hit songs from HAIR with full cast and pit band.  Address and map at the St Thomas More Center website.
