Welcome to Richard Gard.com
Dr. Richard Gard is the director of several performance ensembles including:

Richard is the Director of Music at Saint Thomas More Chapel at Yale and Lecturer of Hearing & Musicianship at the Yale School of Music.  He is concurrently Chair of the Department of the Arts at Naugatuck Valley Community College, where he also heads Connecticut's most comprehensive two-year music program and conducts the college choir, opera, and concert band.

Richard's professional ensembles, Vox Concordis and the Richard Gard Singers, have performed with several popular artists including Kenny Rogers, Andy Williams, and Kenny Loggins, and as the opera chorus for Waterbury Palace Opera. Production credits include recordings and live performances for Los Angeles Public Radio, the Chevy/Oakdale Theater, the Palace Theater, Waterbury Symphony Orchestra, Carnegie Hall, Symphony Hall, and the Hartford Symphony. Richard is also an active adjudicator and guest conductor.

Richard and his wife, Evelyn, are dedicated to the mission of supporting and developing the musical growth of talented singers and instrumentalists by arranging endowed positions and professional performance opportunities for qualified students who wish to pursue a career in music or music education. This is accomplished by pairing aspiring musicians with professionals who serve as mentors and colleagues. Performance opportunities are made available to student performers who attend public or private universities, colleges and conservatories at the undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate level.
