September 18: Chamber music of Beethoven, Mozart, and Bach at the NVCC Professional Conference.  Kirsten Peterson, bassoon, Antonio Biello, flute, Richard Gard, piano

 

October 3: Rocky Horror Cabaret Show: for AIDS Project New Haven Gala Fundraiser - 8:00 pm at the Andante Student City of Southern Connecticut State University

 

October 7: Confluencia Poetry Readings: - pre-show entertainment by Tom Violante and Richard Gard, 5:30 pm at NVCC Playbox Theater

 

October 16: Opening Ceremony: state dignitaries and educators, including Governor Rell, dedicate a new science and technology training center for Connecticut.  New NVCC alma mater by Richard Gard to be premiered. 11:00 am at NVCC in Waterbury

 

October 22, 23, 29, 30, 31: Rocky Horror Halloween Experience at the Playwright in New Haven- Info and tickets at www.PACshows.com

 

November 1: Double concerto in A minor by Vivaldi - Libby van Cleve and Eleanor Knopp with Richard Gard, 10:30 am at Saint Thomas More Chapel

 

November 22: Beethoven Symphony 9, College Choir and Waterbury Symphony, 3:00 p.m.  at the NVCC Fine Arts Center

December 4 and 5:  Kenny Rogers Christmas with The Richard Gard Singers, Mohegan Sun Arena, 8:00 p.m.

 

December 6:  Musical Chairs Wind Ensemble of Western Connecticut, 3:00 p.m. at the Woodbury Senior Center

 

December 11: Christmas Concert, NVCC College Choir, 8:00 p.m. on Mainstage. Donations at the door.

 

December 11: Lauds in Honor of Prof. Margot Fassler featuring Yale Schola Cantorum, 5:00 p.m. at Dwight Chapel. Free

 

December 13: Musical Chairs: an Interactive Concert for Children Wind Ensemble of Western Connecticut, 3:00 p.m. on Mainstage, NVCC Fine Arts Center. Donations at the door.

 

April 1 - 3: Triduum at St. Thomas More Chapel at Yale, 8:00 p.m. each night culminating in the Saturday Easter Vigil. Free but come early as this event is typically SRO.

 

April 30: Cultivating Community with featured artist, Daniel Corr, and the College Choir, 8:00 p.m. at Saint Thomas More Chapel at Yale.  Free.

 

May 4: Hands across the sea- British and American band favorites, Wind Ensemble of Western Connecticut, 7:30 p.m. on Mainstage, NVCC Fine Arts Center. Donation at the Door.

 

May 13: Lecture: Beethoven's Heiligenstadt Testiment as a mirror of the Ninth Symphony, New Haven Symphony Orchestra pre-concert lecture, New Haven, CT

 

May 14: High School Band and Choir Festival, Lewis Mills High School, Burlington, CT, adjudicator.

 

May 28: High School Band and Choir Festival, Lewis Mills High School, Burlington, CT, adjudicator.

 

June 4: High School Band and Choir Festival, Lewis Mills High School, Burlington, CT, adjudicator.

 

June12: Connecticut State Sousa Festival, Wind Ensemble of Western Connecticut, noon in Seth Thomas Park, Thomaston, Ct. Free
