Richard retired from NVCC, but the choir lives on.

The NVCC College Choir is one of New England’s musical treasures with a stellar history of performances spanning more than 30 years. This exciting choir consistently thrills audiences, some calling it New England’s best chorus.

The College Choir consists of college students and members of the local community who audition each semester. The College Choir presents two concerts with orchestra each year.
The College Choir has performed at Wesleyan University, Yale University, the State Capital, the Palace Theater, and many local churches. They have toured Great Britain, Hungary, Austria, New Orleans, Puerto Rico, Montreal and Quebec, and broadcast on Public Radio.
Dr. Gard is assisted by accompanist Christopher Dabbo and managers Kevin Long and Lindsey Hollister, with student conductors involved in the rehearsal process. New members are welcome at the beginning of each semester with audition information available by email.
